We disagree with their statement that ovarian ablation as a mode of therapy has not produced objective evidence of oophorectomy. Although residual disease is present on x-ray films, we have documented improvement in pulmonary-function studies. Another report on a patient treated with oophorectomy gave no objective follow-up data, although the authors stated that the patient also continued to have x-ray changes but no hypoxia or dyspnea.
