Zusammenfassung:SUMMARY For the first time a method for culturing human hair follicle cells is described. The bovine eye lens capsule, a basement membrane‐like structure, is used as the substrate for the cultures. In a culture medium supplemented with hydrocortisone and insulin about 70% of the original follicles will form growing colonies of diploid keratinocytes.
