Zusammenfassung:This report deals with the relationship of various lipid fractions in the heart and in the liver, and the urinary excretion of ketone bodies, to sex and body weight in normal nonfasted albino rats. Results indicate the existence of differences in concentrations of fatty acid, neutral fat, and phospholipid in the liver of male rats as body weight increases. Phospholipid concentration of the liver and heart of the male and the heart of the female declines significantly with age.
