Zusammenfassung: | Approaches to chemical modification of petroleum products are examined, and a method of lowering sulfur content using high-intensity ultrasonic vibrations is proposed. Experiments with the use of specially constructed devices for ultrasonic treatment of petroleum products have indicated the principal feasibility of lowering sulfur content in crude. It is established that the best means of removing sulfur from petroleum products is stepwise periodic treatment in an ultrasound field with subsequent removal of the cleaned portion of the crude. |
