Zusammenfassung: | Summary
Plasma lipoproteins of 4 dogs were studied by flotation in the ultracentrifuge before and after thermal injury. After injury, the high density lipoprotein of all 4 shifted to higher flotation rates without consistent changes in concentration. The low density lipoprotein increased in concentration in all 4 dogs with variable flotation rate changes among the 4. No significant changes were seen in the lipoproteins of a control dog. It is suggested that these lipoprotein changes contribute to the electrophoretic α-globulin changes seen generally after injury. |
