Zusammenfassung: | An insignificant temperature rise during the operation of filtration facilities was shown to result in the appearance of gaseous phase in the intergranular space of the granular filter medium. The volume of gaseous phase increases approximately 1.5 times at the expense of the carbonic acid released during the hydrolysis of coagulant in the form of aluminum sulfate. This leads to an enhanced rate of growth of the head losses, reduced strength of the depositions formed, a shortened time of the filter service or contact clarifier between washings. The technique has been shown to allow the gas release be kept to minimum. |
