Reflections on "Ordinary Victories," or Getting under the World's [Sociological] Skin

This text sets out to show how philosophy can decant the complexity of comic strips. Comics show the movement of ways of thinking -- literally in the drawings & theoretically in the texts -- as they question, all at once, the social world, the phenomenon of politics & the phenomenon of art. This short article on a series of comic strips by Manu Larcenet entitled "Le Combat ordinarie" (Ordinary Victories) ultimately takes philosophy back into its original role, that of a "techne" (technique, according to Aristotle) or tool.
