Zusammenfassung:Periapical inflammatory reaction and cementum and bone resorption and deposition in Macaca mulatta monkey teeth were studied after endodontic treatment during which irrigation was performed with 1% sodium hypochlorite or with 1% sodium hypochlorite followed by disinfection with 2% iodine potassium iodide. The authors found no evidence to show that there was an appreciable addition to the noxious effect of the operative trauma by either of the two treatments.
