Porphyria cutanea tarda and hepatocellular carcinoma

A screening for the precocious diagnosis of primitive hepatocellular carcinoma has been carried out on 96 patients affected by porphyria cutanea tarda. This screening had been performed by means of hepatic scintigraphy and determination of α 1 fetoprotein in serum. In no case was this tumour found....

Zusammenfassung:	A screening for the precocious diagnosis of primitive hepatocellular carcinoma has been carried out on 96 patients affected by porphyria cutanea tarda. This screening had been performed by means of hepatic scintigraphy and determination of α 1 fetoprotein in serum. In no case was this tumour found. The course confirmed the results of our investigation.
