Zusammenfassung: | Two unusual abnormalities of the mitral valve and its appendages have been described. The mitral valve “triplication” was an incidental finding at necropsy in a 72-year-old man while the other case, a severe dysplasia of the chordae tendineae, permitted the individual to survice until the age of 26 years. Because of the infrequent occurrence of congenital anomalies of the mitral valve, the clinical and pathological aspects of these two cases have been presented in some detail. |
