Zusammenfassung: | Abstract
The effect of parting line position on the forging process parameters and metal flow behaviour is studied in this paper. It is shown that the position of the parting line affects the force and energy of forging, metal flow, and required raw materials. The results of finite element and analytical investigations are compared with experimental results, obtained on three forging dies with different parting line positions. A close agreement between the simulated and experimental results was observed. |
