Zusammenfassung:1. 1. Quantitative analyses for different categories of nitrogeneous substances were carried out on pea seeds at different stages of the ripening process. 2. 2. Well-defined globulins are quantitatively synthesized from dialysable nitrogeneous products. 3. 3. The synthesis of the well-defined globulins results from several steps. 4. 4. A new reaction mechanism for the formation of long peptide chains from short ones is discussed.
