Zusammenfassung:Two methods of informal nutrition education--printed leaflets or food samples--were tested in 4 supermarkets to determine their effectiveness in increasing consumer acceptance of navel oranges and whole wheat bread. Sales of each product accompanied by sample or leaflet distribution on different days were compared to each other and to control days. Results varied by store location and by price variations due to special promotions, but both methods had some success in stimulating sales
