Zusammenfassung:The abdominohypogastric flap, an axial pattern flap supplied by the anterior perforating branches of the deep inferior epigastric artery and the branches of the superficial inferior epigastric artery, has been used successfully to resurface defects on the forearm in two patients. The Doppler is employed to determine the presence and the course of the superficial inferior epigastric artery in order to include branches of this artery within the base of the flap.
