Zusammenfassung:A yellow, dialyzable, hydrophilic chromophore is present in the uterine lumen of pigs on Day 8 of the estrous cycle. Microbiological assays, thin layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, uv-visible spectra, and infrared spectra all provide evidence that the yellow substance is riboflavin. The quantity of riboflavin in the uterine secretions was measured by the microbiological assay to be 100.3 ± 16.7 µg of riboflavin per uterine flushing.
