Zusammenfassung:Olfactory bulbectomy in rodents leads to a variety of neurochemical sequelae involving catecholamine, indolamine, acetylcholine, amino acid and several putative neurotransmitter systems. This review summarizes the research over the last 10 years on the neurochemical consequences of olfactory bulbectomy involving these systems. It also proposes additional experiments designed to expand our knowledge of olfactory bulb-brain neurochemical relationships.
