Psychological tests in psychopathological prognosis

Many studies attempt to relate test prognosis to eventual outcome in psychopathy. There is little agreement on findings and infrequent justification of conclusions on empirical bases. For such studies to be effective they must meet 4 criteria: (1) specification of experimental conditions; (2) use of relatively homogeneous populations; (3) quantitative reporting amenable to statistical evaluation; (4) amenability of findings to cross-validation. 183-item bibliography.
