Zusammenfassung:Studies were conducted to determine the mercury bioaccumulation potential of blowflies collected at a mercury mine in idrija, Yugoslavia. Experimental materials and methods used are described. Flies were fed mercury-contaminated fish flesh, and results indicate that the flies excreted 66% of their mercury in the first two days of their adult life.
