Zusammenfassung: | Dr Kattwinkel, et al,1 are to be congratulated on their approach to improved perinatal care in rural community hospitals. They state that their study "represents the first attempt to systemically examine the problems hindering the delivery of optimal perinatal care in the community hospital and then to design a program around these problems."
In June 1975, we published an article in this journal describing "an evaluation of perinatal care practices in Iowa community hospitals."2 The evaluations were accomplished by a perinatal team during visits to the hospitals. |
