Zusammenfassung:Failure of obliterating the neck of the sac using the conventional purse-string suture in an indirect inquinal hernia has been demonstrated and the desirability of employing a transfixing suture to obliterate the crevices pointed out. It is believed that if this change is used, a decrease in recurrence rate of indirect inquinal hernias will result.
