Histochemistry of the submandibular salivary gland of castrated male mice treated with androgens and anabolic steroids

The atrophied granular ducts of the submandibular gland of castrated male mice showed complete recovery when the mice were subjected either to nandrolone decanoate, an anabolic steroid devoid of androgenic action, or to testosterone subcutaneously.
