Zusammenfassung:A simple, quick, and minimally invasive surgical technique for reducing isolated zygomatic arch fractures, with the use of the curved mosquito forceps, is described. Twenty-one patients with isolated fractures of the arch were treated successfully under local anesthesia and were discharged the same day of the operation. This is the first report on the use of the curved mosquito forceps as an instrument for reduction of zygomatic arch fractures. The technique can provide a rapid means for the management of such injuries under local anesthesia especially to maxillofacial surgical units that are confronted with a large number of trauma cases.
