Congenital nystagmus modifies orientational detection
Contrast thresholds were examined in subjects with congenital nystagmus. Using short duration flashes to eliminate the effect of the eye movements it was found that the continuous motions of the eyes in one meridian were responsible for an orientation amblyopia.
