An extrahepatic biliary tract anomaly: Suggested technic for early identification at surgery

An accessory right hepatic duct was noted to enter the cystic duct, which joined the common hepatic duct near the ampulla of Vater. The advantages of dissecting out the gallbladder from the fundus down and of obtaining an operative cholangiogram are emphasized.
