Zusammenfassung:THE culture fluid of Aspergillus melleus Yukawa was reported by Gill-Carey 1 to show weak antibacterial activity against Staph. aureus , Bact. coli , Myco. phlei and C. xerosis . Three antibiotics have now been isolated from culture fluids of this Aspergillus . Two of them have been identified: they are penicillic acid and mellein.
