Zusammenfassung:Humanistic quality is the basic criteria to judge the quality of talents. With the rapid development of P. E. institutions in China in recent years,the status of humanistic quality for P. E. undergraduates is becoming more and more important. By means of survey, interviews, Delphi and mathematical statistics,the authors have analyzed the status of humanistic quality of students in P. E. institutions. The study shows that the status of humanistic quality of undergraduates in P. E. institutions is not very satisfying,which is shown in aspect s of incomprehensive knowledge structure in knowledge of humanism, and significant differences in humanistic quality shown between different grades and majors. By regression analysis toward the objective and subjective factors which can influence students'humanistic quality, it is concluded in this study that the most significant factors are individuals, teachers,interpersonal relations and the participating extent in social activities.
