Zusammenfassung:Radiative transfer within an annular photoreactor is investigated for situations typical of photocatalytic processes. The Radiative Transfer Equation is solved using the Discrete Ordinate Method, that has been adapted to deal with this particular case. Results are validated through a comparison with the solution obtained by a Monte Carlo approach and the effects of the parameters on the local rate of radiant energy absorption and on the angular distribution of the radiation intensity are discussed.
