An Investigation and Research on the Status Quo of In-door Badminton Players in the Capital Cities of the Western Provinces in China

Badminton is one of the fast and well-developed mass sports in recent years. However, from the research results in badminton sports published publicly between 1994 and 1998, the present research fields are unbalanced, lacking the research on the status quo of mass badminton sports. Therefore, it is necessary to do researches on the status quo of in-door badminton players in the capital cities of the western provinces, which can provide some theoretical basis for the further development of badminton mass sports in the west. By means of literature review, questionnaire, field investigation and clustering analysis, the authors have analyzed the status quo of in-door badminton players in the capital cities of the western provinces. The results show that the in-door badminton players in Nanning city love the sport more and spend more money on it than people in other cities; the development of badminton sport is helpful for solving the problem that the middle-aged people are less involved than people of other age g
