Zusammenfassung: | We describe the flying stability of droplets in an electrostatic ink-jet printer. Results of observations of flying droplets, measurements of charges in droplets, and numerical analysis explain the cause of droplet placement errors. This analysis includes electrostatic repulsion effects and interactions resulting from aerodynamic forces. In this study, a way to reduce the droplet placement error is also discussed, and its effectiveness is confirmed. |
