Zusammenfassung:The paper describes the authors’ experience with the design and with the wind-, pedestrian- and vandal-excited dynamic effects of stress-ribbon pedestrian concrete bridges. For the calculation of vertical vibration a simple theory and experimental verifications were used. Special dampers were designed to reduce both the horizontal and vertical vibrations of these bridges.
