7th US national conference on wind engineering: A summary of papers

Recent developments in the area of wind loadings on structures are summarized. The text is based upon technical papers presented at the 7th US National Conference on Wind Engineering held at the University of California on June 27-30, 1993. The technical papers are summarized and are placed in the following categories based on subject matter: wind field models and extreme wind events; low rise buildings; roofing; glazings and curtain walls; flow field/wind-induced pressure simulations; snow and particulate/stone transport; performance of structures in adverse weather conditions; wind effects on electric power lines and towers; fatigue and structural integrity; damping systems; aerodynamics of bridge decks; and risk and damage assessment.
