Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents works related to the use of electric radiating technologies in a drying operation. It includes the description of an experimental kiln allowing a combination of convection as well as infrared and microwave radiation. The purpose of this experimental set is to determine the kinetics of drying and the temperature response of rectangular-shaped material. The experimental chamber is designed to place the sample in one-dimensional conditions with regard to heat and mass transfer. Experiments conducted with porous and rigid material show the experimental device capacities to evaluate the impact of each type of radiation on drying kinetics. |
