End effect of capillary blocking of the displaced phase in the case of immiscible fluids

Particular solutions are obtained to two problems of steady flow of immiscible fluids in porous media. The solutions indicate the existence of an end effect of capillary blocking of the displaced phase, which results in a significant decrease in the flow rate of the displacing phase.
