Zusammenfassung: | Pressure drop data obtained from two laterally interconnected channels, under two-phase (air-water) flow conditions is presented. Two types of blockages, plate and smooth, were used to restrict the flow area of one of the channels from 70 to 10% of its nominal value. The blockage induces large radial pressure differences between the channels, and the pressure equalization may require several hydraulic diameters before it is reached. The irreversible pressure loss produced by the blockage depends on the blockage shape and severity, and on the void distribution between the channels. |
