Zusammenfassung: | A computer program for the analysis and design of reinforced soil structures is presented. The program is based on a modified limit equilibrium method in which the effect of reinforcement on both normal and shear stresses is recognized. Two-part wedge mechanisms have been chosen on account of their simplicity and their adaptability to the presence of reinforcing inclusions. Layouts of reinforcement to give desired safety margins may be designed rapidly and interactively, facilitated by the provision of clear graphical output. Extensive practical experience with the computer program has established it as an important design tool. |
