Zusammenfassung: | The need for expanding the resources of jet and diesel fuels is caused primarily by the continuous increase in their fraction of the total production and in the requirements for motor fuels. In the past the increased demand for fuels was met partly by increasing the volume of crude oil production in existing fields and partly by the processing of crudes from new fields. These possibilities are now practically exhausted. The planned intensification of oil refining cannot, according to our assessments, fully satisfy the problem of expanding the resources of jet fuels, at least not in the next 10-15 years. |
