Zusammenfassung: | Since 1982, French astronauts or cosmonauts have been involved in more than 10 manned missions, in cooperation with the USA and with Russia. After a brief review, the acquired experience during the preparation of the different missions, is presented. The emphasis is on the importance of the multilingual specialized terminology and its standardization to ensure the success of this kind of mission. The documents which have been used for writing this paper allowed to identify some terms and concepts related mainly to the life and the work of astronauts during manned space flights. Some of these terms could be entered in the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) space multilingual terminology data bank. |
