Zusammenfassung:The wall effect on porosity for uniform spheres packed in cylindrical containers was experimentally investigated. It was found that the wall effect is composed of two components; the side wall effect and the top-bottom wall effect of the thickness effect. It is suggested that both of these effects should be considered in the accurate determination of porosity and/or porosity-related properties.
