Zusammenfassung: | A simple finite difference algorithm has been used to compute a simulation model for unsteady-state ball milling. The model considers the mill to act as if it were three fully mixed reactors in series (one large/two small), it incorporates a mass transport relation relating mill hold-up to flow rate through the mill, and it allows for the reduction in breakage rates caused by high flow rates through the mill. The computation is rapid and requires only small storage space. Examples are given of use of the model. |
