Zusammenfassung: | Moderation of dietary patterns and limitation of intake of various foods and food components will constitute the major changes in nutrition policy. A diet of natural foods in itself does not assure adequate nutrition; however, a diet composed entirely of highly processed foods also poses risks. The food industry is faced with the challenge of producing products which combine nutritional properties with acceptable taste and appearance. No proof exists that the Recommended Dietary Allowances are optimal. Moreover, nutrition education, labeling, and advertising should present a balanced view of the nutritional advantages and drawbacks of each product |
