Zusammenfassung: | The high rate of growth in the national economy in recent years has made it necessary to sharply intensify work on railroad transport, and axial leads and train speeds have increased accordingly. In connection with this, there has arisen a need to improve rail production practice in order to improve the quality of the rails and make them more reliable. Studies conducted at the Kuznetsk combine (KMC) established that rail reliability is increased by 33% when the rail steel is deoxidized with a master alloy containing silicon, calcium, and vanadium. When the rail steel is deoxidized with a manganese-aluminum alloy, there is a reduction in the oxide stringer content of the metal. Thus, the use of such alloys is recommended in the STI. |
