Zusammenfassung:Mass-transfer rates in an internal recycle reactor, called jetloop reactor (JLR), are studied. The effect of particle size and flow rate on the mass-transfer rates is investigated with a view to using this reactor in kinetic studies. The mass-transfer coefficient in a jetloop reactor is found to be similar to that of a Berty-type reactor and the reactor is well suited to the measurement of reaction rates. The mass-transfer coefficient is also found to be independent of flow rate and is a linear function of the reciprocal particle diameter.
