Zusammenfassung:This study dealt with two-phase magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow and heat transfer in a parallel-plate channel. Both phases were incompressible and the flow was assumed to be steady, one-dimensional and fully developed. The present study was expected to be useful in the understanding of the effect of the presence of slag layers on the heat transfer characteristics of a coal-fired MHD generator.
