Zusammenfassung:The cutting of glass depends upon the crack that is generated by the cutter as it is run over the glass surface. Analyses have been given for this process and the cracks associated with scratches produced by diamond pyramids have been observed. The present work suggests that the cracking produced falls into three regimes depending upon the applied load.
