Zusammenfassung:This paper discusses the burning condition of catalytic combustion in a low concentration of methane (25%). Methane ignition temperatures and methane conversions were experimentally measured in a self combustion system. These experimental results were taken to develop a dynamic combustion model o catalytic combustion. The stable burning conditions are related to the heat transfer rate from the catalyst bed, the preheated temperature and the fuel gas velocity.
