The Participation Divide? Political Participation, Trust in Government, and E-government in Australia and New Zealand

Results of survey into public participation in politics in Australia and New Zealand – education, ethnicity, income, gender and age as factors in the ‘participation divide’ and ‘digital divide’ between those who participate using a variety of means including electronic means and those that do not – finding that lower levels of trust in government are associated with higher levels of some types of participation.
