Zusammenfassung:The issues concerning electronic journals in higher education libraries are outlined. A research project at Liverpool John Moores University to investigate the reasons for resistance to the purchase of electronic journals is reported. The research methodology is detailed. The findings from the first stage are detailed, including cost issues, the electronic environment, document delivery and archiving, identifying areas for further research.
