Zusammenfassung: | Optical properties of Si nanocrystallines (NCs) powder dispersed in DMSO solvent and doped sol gel derived host were investigated. In order to understand the physical and optical properties of the Si NCs in solvent, sol and solid gel host, the absorption, emission and fluorescence spectra were recorded. Effect on absorption, excitation peaks with intensities of Si NCs doped sol gel is observed from the spectra of Si NCs dispersed solution. The morphology of Si NCs distribution and particle sizes in solvent and sol gel environment was obtained by SEM, TEM respectively. About more or less from 4 nm to 9 nm particle sizes are shown. Si NCs doped sol gel cylindrical rod shape was prepared and cut into different sizes about 10 mm to 15 nun long to study the stimulated emission. Photoluminescenee (PL) stability ofSi NCs in sol gel is found to be good for several weeks under UV lamp. |
