Wojcik et al that both look at transporter expression, trafficking and mechanisms of vesicle loading in vesicular glutamate transporter 1 mutant mice but present different models for subcellular localization of the vesicular transporter and for vesicle loading. They discuss the different interpretations made by the two groups and compare each group's findings.
