Zusammenfassung:Results from a recent survey of farm operators in Kansas (March 1989) indicate that the respondents as a group (a) support agricultural and other policies that yield direct benefits to those involved in production agriculture, (b) are less enthusiastic about policies that have less direct effects, and (c) are opposed to policies that have a negative economic impact on themselves. The overall results of the survey are presented and discussed, followed by a multinomial logit analysis of the relationships between operator characteristics and survey responses.
